Shahong Lee is a Chinese-French-American visual artist and writer passionate about experimental forms of storytelling. She is currently a writer and the assistant director of development at China Residencies, a non profit committed to creating creative opportunities for international artists in China, HK, and their diasporas.
Shahong presents her short film, Dear Grandfather, in which she reads a poem set to music. The poem-film acts as an altar upon which she pays tribute to her grandfather, highlighting necessary rituals of death that mend the empty space that extends between generations, and life and death.
